Mid-Michigan Cycling Club | Mt. Pleasant, MI

     The Mid-Michigan Cycling Club is a
local community club whose mission is
to provide safe, guided, rides for all
levels of road, mountain, leisure, and
cyclocross riders; create opportunities
for networking and socializing; improve
fitness and encourage a greener way
of living.

     The need for a cycling club in the
Mid-Michigan area has continued to
increase as more community members
participate in cycling. The Mt. Pleasant
Area Chamber of Commerce must act
as a cycling club to secure the bicycle
racing permit for the Le Tour de Mont Pleasant, and has partnered with Motorless Motion Manager Allison Quast to make this group a reality. Morgan Orr from the Mt.      In addition to connecting cycling enthusiasts from all over Mid-Michigan, a focus for the club is to assist underprivileged youth aspiring to become true cyclists. Children would receive assistance and funds for races, purchasing appropriate cycling attire, and other means necessary in order to fulfill their cycling dreams and aspirations. The club also plans to conduct outreach within the community teaching underprivileged youth and the community at large, care and safety for their bicycles, as well as work with officials on developing bike lanes, a rail-to-trail system, and further non-motorized planning throughout Mid-Michigan area.
